CSR Statement
Tees Maritime are committed to delivering measurable social value.
As a proud member of the Tees Maritime Cluster (TMC), our organisation is committed to delivering measurable social value in line with the Social Value TOMs (Themes, Outcomes, Measures) framework.
Through our membership, we contribute directly to initiatives that support youth employability, skills development, and inclusive regional growth, while generating a clear return on investment and community benefit.
Measurable Impact (aligned to TOMs):
Promoting Skills and Employment
We support young people across Teesside into careers in maritime, logistics, and engineering through fully managed work experience placements, school outreach, and career awareness programmes.
Measurable outcomes include:
- NT13: Number of weeks of training opportunities delivered
- NT18: Collaboration with educational institutions
Supporting Growth of Responsible Regional Businesses
We participate in cluster-led training, recruitment, and business growth projects, ensuring that skills pipelines align with employer needs and create sustainable local jobs.
Measurable outcomes include:
- NT46/NT48: Initiatives to support disadvantaged or priority groups
- Demonstrated partnerships with colleges, local authorities, and skills providers.
Building Healthier, Safer and More Resilient Communities
10% of every membership fee is donated to the High Tide Foundation, a local charity dedicated to raising aspirations and improving social mobility for young people in Teesside.
Our employees are encouraged to participate as Maritime UK Ambassadors, volunteering in schools and mentoring young people to raise awareness of industry careers.
Tangible ROI & Social Value
For every £1 invested in TMC membership, businesses typically achieve a £4–£7 commercial return, delivering measurable social value that aligns with procurement criteria and ESG standards
Membership ensures that our organisation:
- Demonstrates active contribution to local skills and employment outcomes
- Evidences collaboration with education and community partners
- Delivers direct investment into youth development and social mobility
- Aligns with regional and national strategies for levelling up and green growth
