This September, 25 local primary schools will take part in a brand-new classroom project bringing Teesside’s maritime story to life.

In collaboration with Spark Tees Valley, and thanks to the generosity of our members, we’ve created a series of videos following the journey of cargo from ‘Port to Doorstep’, showcasing the huge variety of careers that make it possible, right here in Teesside!

The videos are supported by in-classroom sessions delivered by Andrew Stogdale and the team at Spark, which include Tees-based mapping activities and a coding challenge where pupils programme robots to follow the cargo’s journey across the region.

This is just the start. With support from more members, we can take this programme into every primary school across Tees Valley.
